Phillips and Blair Crabtree decided it was time to find a house that was more suited to the way their growing family lived. Phillips had sold 2 houses for-sale-by-owner and had also purchased three without an agent.
This time however, they decided to use Brent Griffis and LIST. Phillips says, “I’d never liked paying what I thought were high realtor’s fees. But the full-service, flat-fee model made a lot of sense.” Brent helped them put their house on the market and within four days they had a contract.
Brent also served as their buying agent. Phillips says, “In Homewood, good houses come and go so quickly. You can’t just be looking on the Internet. You need an agent that is networked and plugged into the community and plugged in with other agents. Someone who knows when things are coming onto the market before they are officially on the market. Brent is that guy.”
“When we were looking at houses he helped us think about things beyond just price, address, and number of bedrooms. He helped us think about the layout and how we would really use our new home,” says Phillips.
With Brent’s help they decided the best house for their family was a new construction home in Edgewood. They love being within walking distance of their church, Trinity United Methodist, and the elementary school.
When asked if he would refer Brent and LIST to family and friends, Phillips says, “Yes! We already have.”
